Does this performance advantage include resolution as well? What about texture details and other features?
Yea. I'm pretty sure the consoles are 60fps, higher res, higher graphics.I was really surprised that they did this. It didn't get turned on by default for me. I had to go into settings and enable it after downloading the update. I've played a lot on my iPad Pro and I noticed a drastic difference in graphic quality after this update.Controlwise, how do you play this game on an iPad? I've tried playing more complex games on my phone and the experience is always awkward and disappointing at best.
iOS 13 added game console controller support. I use my PS4 controller.Despite that limitation, an iPad Pro running Fortnite can now beat the performance of current-generation consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One, which are restricted to 60fps.
Does this performance advantage include resolution as well? What about texture details and other features?wow. just call it the new and improved Nintendo switchwith an even faster processor and graphics update later this year for the iPad it should be a serious portable gaming machine. given the game manufactures code everything rightthe ps5 and new xbox coming out this year support 8k graphicswould be neat to use an iPad Pro and then transfer graphics to a 4k TV screen for play
they support 8k output via hdmi 2.1, but absolutely will not have any game render in an 8k resolution. there is no single consumer gpu that can make that happen in a full size gaming desktop PC, let alone in a console.any 8k TV is going to be working overtime to upscale 4k & 1080p content, but there's no chance that you have 8k games next gen. anyone advertising or suggesting this is trying to throw out buzzwords to mislead consumers.
moreover, most people wont see a difference. the optimal viewing distance for a 65" 4k display is between 5 and 8 feet away from the panel.
so you either buy a much, much larger 8k (hint: they're 5 figures expensive) or buy a smaller one and sit too close to fit the screen into your eyes

Well, of courseControlwise, how do you play this game on an iPad? I've tried playing more complex games on my phone and the experience is always awkward and disappointing at best.
You can connect a controller (Xbox and PlayStation ones work) or use the touchscreen. If you use the touchscreen there are presets for the position of buttons depending on your playstyle, or you can customise your own HUD layout. There are also several firing modes, one of which is Auto Fire.
Support for controllers in games like this makes the iPad Pro more viable as a games console. This year's Pro will hopefully take this even further!

I don´t play this but PUBG on my iPad (Pro, 9.7) and the key thing for me is to shot with the left hand. It takes a bit at the beginning but after a while, is pretty natural. This way you can aim with right hand and shot with the left (or viceversa). Yes, you lose some movement freedom this way, but aiming I think that is more important and at least in PUBG normally the encounters with people only have some quick bullet exchange after one dies.
the horsepower of the ipad pro, a thin fanless tablet, is stunning
